Each club has its own website, which is simple to set up and maintain. Instructions are provided in the Start-Up pack ring-binder and new Club Coordinators are shown on training days how to do this. Each club website is password-protected so only club members can see it, although they may choose to share their news with other Let’s Get Cooking clubs.
To qualify for funding, clubs complete at least 12, simple, online reports per year, to show what they’ve been cooking. They need to provide at least three additional reports explaining how families and the wider community have been involved in cooking activities (part of the club guidelines).
Some clubs may choose to use the website for reporting only, but there is also the option to build their own club websites, adding recipes, photos, dates for meetings and events, which all club members can access via a password. However, Let's Get Cooking's aim is to get people cooking, not form-filling and club leaders may delegate this task to a volunteer or responsible club member.
A sample of around 300 Let’s Get Cooking clubs are taking part in a more in-depth research study.
Schools are expected to maintain their own records of expenditure using a simple online form. A random sample of clubs is audited and asked to provide financial statements/receipts to Let's Get Cooking central office.
