Let's Get Cooking club members made breakfast for people from fifteen leading companies at a special event organised by our partners, Business in the Community.

Ten students from Gayhurst Primary School and Nightingale Primary School in London showed off their cooking skills to companies including Prudential, Morgan Stanley, Bank of England and Sodexo.

The aim of the event was to encourage businesses to support Let's Get Cooking through employee volunteering or in-kind support such as donating cooking ingredients and equipment.

Diane Roome Headteacher at Gayhurst Community School said, "Thanks for today's Let’s Get Cooking event. Children and adults had a great time! The children were thrilled to serve up a breakfast for all the business people with the skills they have acquired by being involved with the Let’s Get Cooking programme.  I really hope we can work together with companies to all achieve the desired result of getting our kids, families and communities healthy."
