Club members  from the Let’s Get Cooking club at Wickham Market Primary School in Suffolk prepared  dishes for a VIP guest – local MP Dr Daniel Poulter.

Sadly, the visit had to be postponed at the last minute when Dr Poulter was recalled to Parliament but the children still had the chance to show off their healthy cooking skills to local journalists from the Ipswich Evening Star and the East Anglian Daily Times, and to the BIG Lottery which supports our Let’s Get Cooking schools network.

Let’s Get Cooking’s Annabelle O’Toole said: “We know that everyone at the school worked really hard to get ready for such a special guest and that Dr Poulter was disappointed that he couldn’t get to you on the day. However, it looks like your cooking skills did you proud regardless so well done to all the children for being such great ambassadors for Let’s Get Cooking!”

A big thank you to all the young cooks and adults involved and we hope Dr Poulter can find a new time to come and see what you’re up to soon.
