A healthy picnic for the whole school at St Marie’s

St. Marie's Catholic Primary in Sheffield launched their Let's Get Cooking club at their annual Healthy Living Week. A key focus this year was Healthy Lunch Boxes.  On the Tuesday, every child in the school was involved in preparing food for a whole school healthy picnic, which they shared outside in the afternoon. Parents were invited too!

They also invited parents and friends to sell dishes from their home countries at their Summer Fair which was very popular. As well as the Let’s Get Cooking funding, the Home School Association organised a successful curry and quiz night to raise funds to help create a new kitchen area.

Future plans include linking up with a nearby secondary school to give every Year 6 pupil the opportunity to plan, prepare and cook a healthy lunch to share with staff.
