Let's Get Cooking can offer a range of products and services.  Choose which suits your needs best or speak to us about developing a new programme.

Training

Our two-day Demonstrator Training for cooking club leaders is accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health and 98% of delegates rate it as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.  We can tailor our training packages to suit your audience, timescales and budget.  Our training sessions range from short 'taster' sessions to large scale conferences with a series of practical workshops.

Choose from ‘train the trainer’ options or we can deliver training directly to your end users.

Setting up and maintaining cooking clubs

Let's Get Cooking is the largest national network of extra-curricular school-based cooking clubs in England. Since our launch in 2007 we have delivered an ambitious club recruitment and training programme, developed a robust evaluation study and monitored and supported a network of thousands of clubs, including awarding more than £2 million in small grants to schools.

We can use our extensive experience of setting up and maintaining a network of cooking clubs to help you meet your obesity-reduction or lifelong learning/skills development targets.

Resources

Let's Get Cooking has developed a range of training resources aimed and different audiences including children and young people with special educational needs.

In addition we have produced high quality resources including more than 200 tried-and-tested healthy recipes, 15 activity packs full of community cooking ideas, supporting materials to help clubs get started including a manual full of advice and checklists to help run and maintain a cooking club, expert food safety and hygiene information, a cooking skills progression framework and branded materials including stickers, posters, aprons and much more.

Let's Get Cooking members can access our password protected Club Zone to enter competitions, download resources and provide essential information about what they have been cooking and what skills have been learned.

We also have developed a comprehensive online recruitment process, targeting areas of high deprivation (which can be adapted to target your priority audience.)

72% of Club Coordinators who responded to our 2010 club survey rated Let's Get Cooking communications as ‘excellent’.

Support

The regional Let's Get Cooking teams provide training, expert advice and support throughout the life of your project.

Staff based in our head office in Sheffield can support you in a range of ways, if needed, including project management, monitoring and tracking, grant making, communications with your target audiences, production of resources and generating media coverage for your project.

Tracking and monitoring

We have developed a comprehensive tracking and monitoring database and process for making payments to clubs, ensuring they follow our guidelines and report on what they have achieved.  This can be tailored to ensure all the information you need is recorded and can be retrieved and manipulated to produce detailed or topline results.

Evaluation

Let's Get Cooking has a robust evaluation tool to measure the impact of the programme, which has been granted ethical approval until 8 July 2012 by the Research Ethics committee of Kings College London. Further information about our methodology can be provided on request.

Experience

Let's Get Cooking launched in 2007 and is the largest national network of school-based, extra-curricular cooking clubs in England. We have experience of setting up, maintaining and evaluating healthy cooking programmes to achieve key objectives.
